Lars Lindén

Lars Lindén is the Head and President of Ericsson sub-Saharan Africa, a position he assumed in June 2009. Lars is responsible for 43 countries in sub-Saharan Africa from marketing, selling and implementing telecom solutions/projects. Lars began his career at Ericsson in 1987, as a Radio Network Engineer for Ericsson Radio Systems in Sweden. He worked his way up the ranks and in 1994 was appointed as the Vice President and General Manager for Sales in Central America and the Caribbean. In 1997, Lars became the Business Development General Manager at Ericsson Telecom AB. A year later, he was appointed as the MU Head for Ericsson Uruguay, and three years later, the MU Head for North Latin America. From here, Lars moved to Costa Rica, where he was appointed as the MU Head for Central America and Caribbean – a position he held for 5 years. Prior to his current position, Lars assumed the role of MU Head for Ericsson Mexico.

Lars has a Masters of Science degree in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering, majoring in telecommunications from Linköpings Tekniska in Sweden. He also has a Bachelor of Economics in Business Administration, with a major in Marketing from the University of Stockholm.

Socially, he is a keen golfer, and values the time he spends with his wife and kids.
