IP Hong

IP Hong is the Vice President of Samsung Electronics and the Head of Global Marketing Group for Telecommunication Systems Business. Under his direction, Global Marketing Group develops new telecommunications business and promotes Samsung wireless solutions to network operators all over the world.

At Samsung, Hong has a record of accomplishment in the delivery of voice and data wireless network solutions based on his technical knowledge and market intelligence. He has held various positions of increasing responsibility in business development and marketing management by leading LTE, WiMAX, and CDMA commercial projects. As a telecommunications veteran over 17 years of leadership experience, he has been invited as a guest speaker of several industry events including LTE and WiMAX.

Previously, he held leadership positions at Cisco Systems and Navini Networks early in his career. As a project manager and systems engineer, Hong led numerous personal broadband projects.

He has an Telecommunication Engineering degree from Korea Aviation University.
